| ARENA SPEAK... News Flash - Will Goodyer front the T10? Rumour has it that Darren Goodyer will have T10 in action at the Mountain Dew Ice Raceway, Hobart this weekend. Who will be driving this piece of quality equipment has not yet been revealed so we will have to wait till Saturday night to find out. If the rumour is true, this will add another quality car to a field that is fighting to take the all important lead in the Farmers Union Iced Coffee Sprintcar Series. Who will it be this weekend? Lets hope the Goodyer car does front to 'up the anti' even more.
What is the author of this press release so "anti"? Surely you would want to up the "ante"?

| Jason Dawkins driving T10 isn't exciting news. It's no different to Jason Dawkins driving his own T17. Typical fail by Latrobe Speedway pty. ltd. | |

But it's a form of false advertising... how many people would have turned up expecting to see a Mitch Dumesny or such, and been disappointed and little peeved when it was Jason Dawkins. Not taking anything away from Goodyer Motorsport or Jason Dawkins, but it's poor form on Latrobe's front. What difference does it make what car JD is in?

| Hi All & would love your thoughts on why with the population of Hobart that we ever only have had 2 Sprintcars at the most from the State capital while up north west way they have a great number of 20 odd cars...At the moment young gun Dobson is doing the southern half of the state proud.....That isn't taking anything away from the likes of the Harwood boys of who did find it a struggle due to the cost of it....By the way we did have a state champion in Johnny Smith well done & as memory serves me Gus Nichols had a run as well.....Would be nice to see at least 1/2 dozen running from down South....Would love feedback on this thanks.... | |

| Now that is an interesting question.
The south hasn't, at least over the last 20 years, had large numbers of supers either.
That suggests three things to me:
1. The south is not as speedway orientated as the north and northwest generally. 2. Because of 1, there are fewer people with the budgets to run the top divisions 3. There may be a lack of expertise in the south, particularly with open wheel set up. Never been large numbers of F500's or Mini sprints where you learn torsion bars and wings.

| Hi Amca T34 wouldn't it be a good idea to bring these cars to the public with an open forum such as meet the drivers & crews have a chat ....Hey even if you get may-be 200 to turn up we may get one person of who goes out with some knowledge after speaking to the drivers' & promoters should be there from every part of the state as well!!!....That one person is another from down South...I know it's a selling bid for the sake of speedway but sure as hell i'll be there to promote it as a quite a number of you guys as well....Have a BBQ as well they bring their kids along all of a sudden there may -be a couple of x-tra juniors getting around.....I do welcome back input on this please!!!! | |
