Around 15 cars are expected to hit the track on Saturday night, and with the playing field in Tasmania as even as that seen before, racing should be thick, fast and action packed.
Leading the charge will be current State title holder David Nicholls of Launceston, who has already produced two podium results from the two meetings so far this season.
Former state and national champion Kevin Purton will also be looking for another strong result, having won last time out at Carrick against a quality field.
Jarrod Harper will also be looking to get some valuable seat time, having ended upside down in the season opener at Latrobe, and was unable to make Carrick the following week.
Brad Smith is another who has had limited seat time this season, only running the last meeting at Carrick having missed the opening meeting of the year. A strong result this weekend will hold him in good stead ahead of the state title.
Ulverstone racer Jason McPherson will also make his comeback to Super Sedans this weekend after missing the past few seasons. McPherson, who tested his immaculate new Pontiac at Latrobe last week will be keen to pick up where he left off.
Phillip Townsend and Hobart’s Steven Latham are also in red hot form, with Latham winning the opening round of the National Pies series, a perfect start to defending his series crown.
Sam Hughes, Adam Beechey, Tim Herbert and Grant Hopkins have also shown some promising signs so far this season and won’t be far from the pointy end, whilst Brett Dawkins and Jamie Williams continue to improve and look set to surprise at any event.
Gates will open at 3.00pm and racing is set to start at 6.00pm.
